HYPERHIDROSIS (EXCESSIVE SWEATING)
Hyperhidrosis is a condition that involves excessive sweating, usually in the underarms, on the palms of hands or soles of feet. Some people with excessive sweating sweat all the time, while others find their condition is triggered by stress or heat. When severe, this condition can interfere with everyday activities. It is also a source of anxiety.
WHAT WE DO
Depending on the severity, excessive sweating can be treated with topical or oral antiperspirants (over-the-counter or prescription-strength).
Botox
injections in the underarms and in the palms are often effective to combat excessive underarm sweating.
Some treatments may not be covered by insurance.
